The Farmyard
Hello and welcome to the Farmyard, here to keep you entertained. Still under construction as we speak, the Farmyard
will bring you a wealth of amusement from the latest cool music to amusing (and often pointless) websites, this will most
certainly be the place to spend your coffee break/day off/life. Difficult to explain exactly what the point of this site is so won't even
try, but stick with us and you'll soon get the hang of it. UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Bit of a snob?? Me too, click here to laugh at the poor.
12th July 2004
It's Monday so that means there are lots of new singles out in the shops, inevitably most of them will be shit, below are those which are not.
Single of The Week - Jamelia - See It In A Boy's Eyes
The UK's answer to Beyoncé delivers a bit of a gem. Written by Chris Martin from Coldplay this unique slice of
R & B may not grab you instantly, but after a few listens its haunting melody will almost certainly be lodged in your head. Sounds even better when heard with the video.
(Almost) Single of the Week - Phoenix - Everything is Everything - Had I heard this track a week earlier it would almost cetainly have been sitting on Jamelia's throne.
Phoenix are a French group with a kind of feel good indie pop sound. They have a couple of albums under their belt but have seen limited success in the UK. Given the fact that
I am yet to hear this track on the radio it is probably likely to suffer a similar fate. Give it a listen here.
Other singles worthy of a metion:
ShapeShifters - Lola's Theme -> Dance music is back for the summer with this early Ibiza anthem.
Snow Patrol - Spitting Games ->One of the stand out tracks from album Final Straw gets a well deserved re-release.
Rachel Stevens - Some Girls ->Bit of a lame track but its for charity so buy it, at least you'll get a picture of Rachel Stevens and i expect the video is on the CD so you can just watch it with the sound off whilst playing another song.
Daniel/Natasha Beddingfield (let's face it no-one is really sure whats gone on there) is back with a great new single 'These Words', already all over the radio so by the time its released you'll be sick of it but it's far better than her first attempt!
Why not create your own pop hit in seconds? Just click here - its fantastic!
On TV tonight, possibly the most disturbing programme ever - 101 Things Removed From The HUman Body (10:50pm Channel 4) - including a window cleaner who fell from his ladder and was skewered like a human kebab on a 5ft steel post.
Anyone know when 24 season 3 is going to be shown on terrestrial TV? e-mail The Farmyard if you do.
Coming soon...maybe...a forum or messageboard, a links page, a pig pen and a chicken shed.
